Equestrian Ministries Drill Team
Our drill team was started by a group of horseman who wanted to share the gospel with other horseman in our area. EMSC Drill team is located out of York County, SC. We started out with 6 riders and currently have 15 who participate at given times.
Our theme is the plan of salvation. Every hear of The Power Band or Witness bracelet? It's a witnessing tool. It's a leather bracelet that has color beads on it. Each color stands for something. Thus the colors of our flags.
Each flag has a special meaning.
The black &white flag is our saddle club symbol.
The American flag represents one nation under God.
The Christian flag is for all those who follow Gods word.
The
color flags represent plan of salvation.
Blue - Creation , Sky, Water. Acts 2:41
Yellow - Glory of God , Golden Relationship before
fall.Rev. 21:1-3
Black - Sin, Fall of man, Spiritual darkness. Romans 3:23
Red- Blood Jesus shed to pay the penalty for our
sins. Romans 5:8
White - Forgiveness , Cleansing, Purity through Jesus. Acts 3:18
Green - Spiritual Growth as a Christian through
prayer , worship
& reading the Bible. 2 Peter 3:18
Our routine requires 9 riders. We perform at rodeos, churches, Horse councils and shows, really anywhere the Lord leads us. We use Christian and Bluegrass music. We are ALWAYS looking for new stuff.
We are self taught! With many mistakes in the beginning, our team motto is "Follow your leader ! " We acquired that one from experience :o)
Our group is very supportive of each other, we always open practices with pray request and praises. Thursday practices are stress relief with fellowship. We have become very close. We have come to know that we can "unload" with our team and have prayer support.
