Sermon From the Saddle Daddy stories

MIRIAM SAID HEY DADDY SAID" DON'T BITE OFF MORE THAN YOU CAN CHEW'
ITS YOUR LITTLE RED WAGON YOU PULL IT" TAUGHT HER GREAT LIFE LESSONS WITH HIS SAYINGS.

TIMOTHY SHARED WE TOOK BIG TIM TO THE RACE TRACK FOR FATHERS DAY THAT WAS SPECIAL TO HIM

LINDA W. SHARED HER DAD PICKED HER UP AT SCHOOL IN THIRD GRADE, IT HAD SNOWED AND THEY RODE AROUND AND PULLED PEOPLE OUT OT THE DITCH. JUST A GOOD MEMORY

BILL WALKERS DAD WAS A TRUCK DRIVER& HAD TO COME THRU BILLS BEDROOM TO GET IN THE HOUSE. HE SMOKED AND BILL COULD SEE THE END OF THE CIGARETTE HIS DAD WENT INTO THE CLOSET BY MISTAKE AND BILL LAUGHED AND HIS DAD SAID SHUT UP. BILL COULD STILL SEE THE RED OF THE CIGARETTE AS HE CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET AND WENT THRU THE RIGHT DOOR. HE RIBBED HIS DAD FOR YEARS ABOUT THIS

LINDA R. MY DADDY PICKED ME UP AT SCHOOL ON MY BIRTHDAY IN THIRD OR FOURTH GRADE AND HAD ME A BLUE WESTERN FLYER BIKE WAITING FOR ME WHEN I GOT HOME. I HAD ALREADY BEEN TOLD I WASN'T GETTING A NEW BIKE AND DADDY NEVER PICKED ME UP AT SCHOOL. SO IT WAS A GREAT DAY.

MY POPA WAS RIDDING WITH ME AND TIMOTHY HE GOT OFF TO SMOKE AND WHEN HE WAS READY TO GET BACK ON HE HAD A VINE HOOKED AROUND HIS FOOT AND HE JERKED TO GET ON AND THEN JERKED A LITTLE HARDER AND FLIPPED OVER THE HORSE AND SUGAR JUST STOOD THERE AND LOOKED AT HIM AS IF TO SAY WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? WE HAD A GREAT LAUGH

ROSIES DAD WAS NOT A CAT LOVER BUT An ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON. SHE AT 30 LIVED ON THE LAKE AND HER CAT GOT CAUGHT WITH A FISHING LURE IN HIS PAW. SHE TOOK HIM TO HER DADS OFFICE IN GASTONIA AND HE NUMBED AND REMOVED THE HOOK. AND MADE HIS BABY GIRL A HAPPY GIRL!!

CINDY'S DAD ALWAYS TOOK HER TO THE HORSE SALES. THEY GOT LOTS OF TACK. NO HORSES (HAD PLENTY ALREADY AT HOME) BUT IT WAS A GOOD TIME.

KERRIE  My Grandfather I was a Grandfathers girl.  I would go everywhere with him, and do everything with my Granddaddy! We would go to the cow pasture to feed the cow and check the fence.   Fill the water trough and feed them.  Check on the caves and just spend the afternoon as farmers.  We would spend time in the barn and in the corn field. We would go to the John Deer store and talk to the old men and listen to the old men and I their stories about what old men talk about! One of my favorite things to do as a small girl was play in my sandbox with my Tonka trucks and things.  I did not care for the baby dolls.  My Grandmother would tell me to stop playing with the trucks, because young ladies played with dolls.  And my Grandfather would tell her that it was okay if I wanted to play with the trucks, cause I wanted to do what my Grandfather did!  Kerrie Jane Snead

SHANNAN. SHE SOLD A PONY AND HER DAD BOUGHT IT BACK FOR HER WHEN IT WENT TO A HORSE TRADER. SHANNAN GOT TO KEEP THE MONEY FROM BOTH SALES OF THE PONY. AND HER DAD GOT TO BUY IT TWICE.
